About Me

I was raised by rock stars and jazz singers in the sleepy little town of Las Vegas, Nevada. With two professional musicians for parents (and no siblings to hang out with) I spent my childhood in green rooms and concert venues, devouring storybooks and singing along with my parents. Performing is, in every sense, the Hyatt family business — it was the only path I ever knew. I moved to Seattle when I was 14, and found myself head-over-heels for musical theatre, which combined my two great loves: performing and storytelling.

After landing a few regional theatre contracts in Seattle during high school (5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, SHOWTUNES), I decided to move across the country to Pittsburgh for college, and entered Point Park University’s BFA Musical Theatre program. I spent two years training as a Musical Theatre major, before catching an itch to get out in the world as soon as possible and start making a career for myself. I followed my impulse, and switched from a four-year degree in Musical Theatre to a three-year degree in Theatre Arts, adding a Minor in English Literature as I went in honor of the little girl reading Anne of Green Gables in Las Vegas dressing rooms. Little did I know when I made this decision in 2019, that the world was about to flip upside down, and put that career on an indefinite hiatus.

When the pandemic hit, my life changed course entirely, and I wound up living and working on a horse ranch in Idaho. In the winter, I trained to be a sommelier in Aspen, CO, then packed up and headed back to the ranch for the summer season. I dipped my toe into the film industry in LA, I moved every six months, spent many long days and weeks with my life packed into my car, and loved every minute of it. (I’ll still talk your ear off about ranch life, herd dynamics and Idaho’s hidden gem of a wine industry if you give me the chance). But something was missing; something I wouldn’t get back until theaters once again opened their doors.

Today, I’m a resident of Brooklyn, NYC, finally having found my way back to that path I laid out. I gained my first off-Broadway credit, a delightful agent, and a fresh burst of inspiration to keep moving, keep learning, and keep dreaming of the next adventure.
